At SEG, our Board leads with purpose—shaping the future of geoscience and geophysics through strategic vision, collaboration, and service. In partnership with staff and volunteers, we help advance research, support our global membership, and cultivate the next generation of scientific leaders.

The SEG Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and is composed of geoscientists and geophysicists from industry and academia. Elected by our SEG membership, the Board oversees the business, organizational, and legal affairs of the Society, and includes the Executive Committee, the Chair of the Council, and Directors at Large.
