President Cheng names 2024 Presidential Award recipients

Three individuals have been selected by President Arthur Cheng to receive the SEG Presidential Award in 2024. Established in 2008, the SEG Presidential Award is bestowed at the discretion of the SEG president to recognize those who have contributed outstanding service to the Society. This year’s recipients include Michael Fehler, James DiSiena, and Annabella Betancourt.

Joseph M. Reilly selected as SEG’s next President-Elect

Joseph (Joe) M. Reilly was selected by SEG Voting Members to serve as President-elect for 2024–2025. Following his one-year term as President-elect, Reilly will assume the office of SEG President following IMAGE 2025 scheduled for 24–29 August 2025 in Houston, Texas.

Baker Hughes Foundation continues support for two SEG programs

At the end of 2023 Q1/Q2 call for applications, GWB Steering Committee selected two projects for funding. One of those projects is in Southern India.

SEG honors the life of Sheral Danker

SEG honors the life of former longtime employee Sheral Danker, who passed away on 16 January 2024. Danker served authors, editors, and reviewers of SEG publications for almost 30 years, and many of those with whom she worked closely became good friends.
