Dr Malleswar Yenugu graduated from the University of Houston with a Ph.D in Geophysics, with deep expertise in subsurface data interpretation and reservoir characterization. He is a frequently invited guest lecturer at prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, University of Tulsa, University of New Orleans, and IIT Bombay.

Oil & Gas Industry Leadership
Dr Yenugu delivered a continuing‑education talk titled “AI and Gen AI for Oil and Gas Production Optimization and Artificial Lift Failure Prediction” at the SPE Evangeline Section in Lafayette, Louisiana on February 11, 2025.

Dr Yenugu has been championing digital transformation in upstream oil & gas through leadership in Drake – AI & Gen AI for Oil & Gas, a platform developed for predictive maintenance, petrophysical automation, and optimization across exploration and production workflows.

AI/Generative AI & LLM Expertise
Dr Yenugu is the CEO and founder of Kalpra Tech Solutions (and associated ventures such as Byte Link Systems), overseeing strategic development of AI-first products including Drake, Moe Chatbot, Keppler, and PraiseTech.

He has been driving innovation in Generative AI, including NLP chatbots, diagnostic tools, and AI‑driven predictive analytics across multiple sectors.

Dr Yenugu has been actively sharing insights on Gen AI and Machine Learning through course demos and educational content via platforms like Kalpra Academy on YouTube.

Intersection of Oil & Gas and AI
Dr Yenugu has been actively engaged with professional bodies such as the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), presenting on productive intelligence and digital transformation in the energy sector. Under his leadership, Drake AI and Kalpra have exhibited at events like IMAGE24 (Houston), expanding industry adoption of AI-driven solutions in reservoir modeling, predictive maintenance, and production optimization.

Strengths & Core Competencies
His combination of academic rigor in geophysics and real-world entrepreneurial experience in AI application for oil & gas have developed a deep technical knowledge in petrophysics, reservoir engineering, artificial lift systems, seismic interpretation, and log analytics. Dr Yenugu is a strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, bridging the gap between technology innovation and industry application.

Dr. Yenugu is a trusted educator, trainer, and experienced public speaker in both academic and professional learning environments.
