New Event Dates: Join us in December 2026
8–9 December 2026
Muscat, Oman
This workshop aims to highlight cutting-edge advancements in seismic interpretation, focusing on structural, stratigraphic, geomechanical, and petrophysical domains. Building on the foundation of previous workshops, this edition focuses on emerging technologies and methodologies that are transforming subsurface imaging and reservoir understanding. The workshop will bring together experts from academia, industry, and technology providers to showcase state-of-the-art workflows and innovations in seismic interpretation across traditional and energy transition domains. Moreover, it will emphasize the increasing role of seismic interpretation as an integrative platform, supporting decisions across the full spectrum of exploration, development, production, and field lifecycle monitoring.
A consistent theme across the workshop will be the integration of advanced imaging techniques (e.g., PSDM, FWI), data conditioning, and both qualitative and quantitative approaches to deliver deeper insights. Participants will be engaged in discussions around forward modeling, seismic sequence stratigraphy, reservoir characterization, uncertainty quantification, and advanced workflows for data integration.
A significant highlight is expected in the growing application of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and advanced visualization tools in seismic interpretation. These technologies were positioned as key enablers for maximizing value from both legacy datasets and new-generation seismic acquisitions.
The workshop also will showcase case studies demonstrating improvements in interpretation and field decision-making, underscoring practical applications of innovative methodologies. In addition, in-depth conversations by exploring the role of geophysical interpretation in the energy transition, bridging traditional oil and gas practices with emerging energy demands are expected to take place in the workshop.
