SEG/Chevron Student Leadership Symposium (SLS) provides an opportunity for chapter officers and nominated chapter members to participate in leadership coaching with Chevron staff, panel discussions, real-world problem solving activities, along with collaborating with other chapters, sharing cultural experiences, and attending the annual IMAGE convention.

This program typically provides a full travel grant to awardees to attend the SLS workshop and IMAGE in-person, however, in the past two years, SLS has been held successfully all virtual. It is undetermined at this time if SLS will move forward to an all in-person event or only virtual for 2022.

For the virtual program, students will attend a zoom session throughout August once a week with Chevron and SEG staff for different learning opportunities and will have access to the online IMAGE convention sessions. Awardees will also complete a poster presentation recording about their chapter accomplishments presented at IMAGE 2022.
