William “Bill” Abriel is an independent geophysical consultant following a 40-year international career with Chevron. A Life Member and Past President of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, Bill has also served as an SEG Distinguished Instructor and Distinguished Lecturer. He currently serves on the SEG Foundation Board of Directors and contributes to the SEG Advanced Modeling Corporation, focusing on business development and project design. Throughout his career, Bill has championed innovation in applied geophysics and the advancement of professional education across the industry.
