Readers of the bi-weekly SEG Doodlebugger Newsletter may have noticed a few changes over the last few months. The newsletter team has been searching for ways to improve the newsletter with information that is more relevant to our members and with content that helps our members better connect and engage with each other. With that goal in mind, the team is adding a new section to the Doodlebugger this week called “A GEO PERSPECTIVE. The first installment of A GEO PERSPECTIVE will run in the 27 January issue, and will feature a submission from last year’s Near-surface photo contest.
Our members see amazing views of the planet in their work and in their travels. We know that many members capture those views with their camera or smartphone, and we thought members might appreciate having a way to share the images with other SEG members. In turn, these images may also be helpful for SEG to use in promoting the organization and the mission of SEG.
To submit a photo*, simply upload your full-resolution images to your favorite FTP site (such as WeTransfer) and send a link to us at [email protected] and (optionally) include a short one-sentence description of your photo in the email.
*Images must not be copyrighted by any source. By submitting an image, you are giving SEG permission to use it in marketing including but not limited to the website, e-mail, print, and digital promotions.
