My professional career… a reflection of the development of geophysics in Venezuela

This talk describes, in narrative form, the parallelism that existed between my professional career, as a Geophysicist, and some of the important developments that occurred in the Venezuelan oil industry during those times.

Emphasis is placed on the importance of making certain decisions, which had an important and positive influence on the final result of that journey. It is focused on motivating young people, students and professionals, within our profession, so that they too are encouraged to make the decisions they deem appropriate, which, with any luck, will lead them towards success in their career, and towards the most importantly, happiness at work.
