Workshop Description
The field of geophysics has seen significant advancements in recent years, particularly in its application to hydrocarbon production enhancement. Cutting-edge developments in seismic acquisition, data processing, real-time geophysical monitoring, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are redefining the capabilities of geophysical tools. These advancements are enabling more accurate subsurface imaging, improved reservoir characterization, and more efficient production processes, driving the industry towards greater accuracy and efficiency.
The workshop will focus on three key themes: advanced seismic techniques for high-resolution imaging, integrated geophysical approaches for reservoir characterization and monitoring, and geophysics in integrated field development and optimization. Topics will include advanced seismic methods such as full-waveform inversion, 4D seismic processing, real-time geophysical monitoring, and the integration of non-seismic data, alongside innovative approaches in wellbore geophysics and the application of machine learning (ML) in geophysical data analysis. The workshop aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how these techniques can be leveraged for both onshore and offshore operations to enhance production, optimize reservoir management, and drive sustainable field development.
Workshop Objectives
The objectives of the workshop are to:
- Showcase the latest technological developments in geophysical methods
- Explore the application of these technologies in enhancing production efficiency
- Discuss the challenges and best practices in implementing new geophysical techniques
- Foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among professionals in the field
