Promising Energy Potential of the Angola Margin

About

24–26 May 2025
Luanda, Angola

Event Overview

Angola boasts a rich history of continuous hydrocarbon exploration and production with the onshore, shallow water, and deep-water Lower Congo basin contributing significantly to the country’s hydrocarbon output. The deep-water Kwanza basin— though moderately explored — has also demonstrated promising hydrocarbon potential through recent discoveries. Despite successful exploration in these basins, a large portion of Angola remains frontier territory. Modern technology offers the opportunity to address subsurface challenges and reinvigorate exploration activities in these frontier areas, which show significant hydrocarbon potential.

This Event will focus on maximizing the resource potential of the Angolan basins by implementing advanced geoscience solutions and integrating multidomain technologies to overcome exploration challenges.
