Speaker Bio

Anglia Sweet
Anglia has 30 years of experience working as an exploration and field development geoscientist in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Egypt, China, and Norway. She received her B.S. degree in Geology from Khon Kaen University, Thailand. She also earned a M.S degree in Geological Engineering (geophysics focused) from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. During her career, she has worked for both small domestic and large international companies. She started her career at Amoco Production Company as a geophysicist based in Houston, TX where she worked on Egypt, China, and Gulf of Mexico Subsalt projects. Eni later recruited her to lead their GOM Deepwater projects and had later transferred her to work in Norway for a few years. During her time at Eni, she made over 300 MMBOE discoveries in Mississippi Canyon area. After Eni, she has joined Equinor’s (Statoil) Field Development Team as a GOM subsurface lead, Noble Energy West Africa Team, and Cantium -a small privately owned GOM company. Since April 2022, she has relocated with her family to Mexico City to work for Petronas Mexico where she serves as a Senior Technical Manager in charge of technology excellence and exploration program in Salina Basin where Petronas currently owns six Deepwater blocks. When not working, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and hiking.
