Record-breaking number of abstract submissions received for the SEG 2017 Annual Meeting and International Exposition in Houston

Surpassed previous record of 1,649 submissions for the 2014 Annual Meeting in Denver

Tulsa, OK, 13 April 2017 – The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) is pleased to announce a record-breaking number of abstract submissions for the 2017 Annual Meeting and International Exposition in Houston, Texas (24-29 September 2017). 1,688 abstracts were submitted, surpassing abstract submissions for the 2014 Annual Meeting in Denver, totaling 1,649. A total of 1,513 abstracts were submitted for the 2016 Annual Meeting in Dallas, and 1,542 for the 2015 Annual Meeting in New Orleans.
