Steve Hill

Before entering the petroleum industry, Steve Hill earned a PhD in astrophysics and was a professor at Michigan State University. Steve was a 25-year employee at Conoco, serving primarily in seismic processing-related functions. Steve was manager of Conoco's seismic processing center. Steve created his first seismic processing course in 1979. Steve is an adjunct associate professor at Colorado School of Mines and University of Houston.

Steve also contributes to the SEG, having served as the SEG President, Secretary/Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair, Publications Policy Committee chair, member of the Publications Committee, GEOPHYSICS associate editor, and TLE special editor. Steve authored the bi-monthly TLE column GEOPHYSICS Bright Spots.
