Roel Snieder

Roel Snieder is the W.M. Keck Professor of Professional Development Education at the Colorado School of Mines. He has been teaching—with great passion—since 1984 and developed professional development courses that include Research skills for Graduate Students, Research Ethics, and Leadership and Teamwork. Roel also regularly teaches workshops on topics such as Negotiation, Working your Advisor, and Software Tools for Creative Research. He is the author of three textbooks: A Guided Tour of Mathematics for the Physical sciences, The Art of Being a Scientist, and The Joy of Science. Roel is a faculty member of the Center for Wave Phenomena and has published more than 250 research papers.
