She works all aspects of energy geoscience, from reservoir analysis through to property evaluations, strategic assessments as well as forming the exploration and development plans for clients. She is well versed in advanced geophysical reservoir characterization methods such as pre and post-stack inversion, AVO, curvature, coherence analysis used to maximize prospectivity in target reservoirs. Her geophysical background includes seismic acquisition design and implementation, processing management, interpretation and application of advanced potential field methods as applied to energy and resource assessments.

Petrel Robertson’s experience with lithium exploration/development for global clients has enabled her to apply her previous 30+ years of geophysical work to these burgeoning energy markets. In addition to her client work Kathleen has contributed to and presented talks for the CSEG, EAGE, CSPG, CGEF, UGTF, AAPG, Petrotech and APEGA on many geotechnical topics related to new energy technologies as well as traditional oil and gas. Her talks have included lithium exploration techniques for the Canadian Society of Unconventional Resources as well as publications for the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists regarding lithium resources and their part in the energy transition. In 2021 she was panelist in the Energy and Emerging Technology in Geoscience Symposium organized by the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists. This year she has been invited to be a Guest Lecturer, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Mount Royal University to teach geophysical methods to 4th year geoscience students.

p>Kathleen has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Western University in Canada, is a professional geophysicist and is a member or past member of the CSEG, SEG, CSUR, CSPG and APEGA.
