Student Member application

We recommend that you gather a few materials before you start the application process. This will help speed up the process and ensure a successful completion of your application:

1. Have a professor/faculty reference name and email ready. Student Member benefits will not be activated until a professor reference has been received.
2. Check out the SEG Membership Dues Structure and determine your appropriate World Bank Country so you can select the proper dues amount.
3. Fill out and submit an application directly from our website.

A professor reference must be received within 60 days of application. If a reference is not received, the application will be canceled. Student application fees are nonrefundable.

An Associate Member cannot transfer to a Student Membership mid-cycle. This request must be made during the the renewal phase of the membership, nine months after the cycle start day.

Beginning in March 2020, SEG Memberships will transition to an anniversary cycle. Each member will renew on the anniversary of their join date. With this transition, existing members in good standing will have an anniversary date of 1 January. Additionally, SEG will no longer have a grace period. Members must pay their dues by the due date, or the member will be placed on suspended status effective one day past the anniversary date. Each member will receive a notice via email 90 days before their anniversary date, advising that they can renew their membership.
