Reservoir Engineering and Geophysical Monitoring Technologies for EOR Applications

15-17 May 2017, Dubai, UAE

About

15-17 May 2017
Dubai, UAE

Meeting Objectives

Most major oil fields are reaching maturity level where intervention is required. Several Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects are either being planned or fully deployed around the world. EOR is becoming a major business driver for the oil industry.

The major question is what are the most optimum monitoring tools available that can be deployed and how effective they are in providing reservoir surveillance information to evaluate the performance of a given EOR method. The objective of this workshop is to bring reservoir engineers, geophysicists and other disciplines who are working on reservoir monitoring and management to share their experience on monitoring best practices and technologies for different EOR methods.

Monitoring methods such as tracers, cross-well (EM and seismic), 3D VSP, surface seismic monitoring, Microseismic, borehole gravity, buried seismic arrays, acoustic pulsing, wellbore permanent monitoring, distributed temperature sensing and pressure sensing are to be discussed in this workshop along with other emerging technologies.

The workshop will also review the integration of various monitoring and modelling technologies for different EOR methods such as gas injection, chemical and thermal.
